The LIFTER Program

Most training providers collect feedback — but let’s be honest, this process is broken.

Too often, feedback collection is designed to make trainers look better, not to get better. Their surveys cultivate a pressure for positive-only feedback, to validate the investment in training. It feeds the perception among those who buy training that the feedback is invalid and unusable.

Sadly, this harms the whole market for learning. When feedback becomes a tool for self-promotion, not improvement, even the best providers are forced to choose: either play along, or risk being left behind. At Swick, we want to fix this!

The LIFTER program is for those who believe that becoming great matters more than looking great. It makes humility a valid, effective and non-obnoxious form of self-promotion.

The Program:

LIFTER stands for Listening and Improvement by Facilitators and Trainers through Evaluation and Research.

It is a managed feedback service and an accreditation program for training organisations that want to lead with credibility, not spin.

LIFTER replaces your in-house feedback systems with an independent, well-designed survey process that supports genuine improvement for training programs, and clarity for the purchasers of those programs.

Whether you deliver training or purchase it, a training engagement measured by the LIFTER Program will create a feedback loop you can actually trust.

How it works:

  1. Learner feedback comes directly to us.
We collect the learner feedback using surveys we design. These are carefully created to minimise bias and maximise completion. This gets clean data, with more honest answers, from better questions.

  2. A feedback report goes to both parties, at the same time.
The training provider and the purchaser each receive the same report on learner feedback simultaneously.

  3. We collect and anonymise purchaser feedback too.
We also collect insights from the decision-makers in the purchasing organisation who commissioned the training. Once there is enough data to protect identities, this shared back with the provider to help them improve.

How it helps the buyers of training:

  • Receive honest, reliable reporting — not marketing fluff.

  • Be reassured that your chosen provider is improvement-focused.

  • Compare training solutions more easily, with most questions being standardised.

  • Be confident that real learning is being incentivised, not just a fun session.

How it helps the providers of training:

  • You get higher quality feedback to help you improve.

  • A clear, upfront message to your clients that you're here to improve, not to hide.

  • An easy way to outsource the painful admin tasks of survey design, collection, and reporting.

  • Access to consistent, structured feedback from the buyers of your training, not just the learners.

  • Recognition as an accredited LIFTER, with different levels depending on the breadth of independent feedback you collect (e.g. Practising LIFTERCommitted LIFTER, etc.)

Look for the mark of a transparent trainer

A better culture around upskilling, made easier!

LIFTER isn’t a survey tool. It's a commitment to genuine improvement. â€‹â€‹Every provider who joins the program, and every buyer who insists on it, is helping to change the culture of feedback around training.

Ready to LIFT your standards?

Are you ready to say goodbye to chasing learners, writing questions, and messy spreadsheets?

Just commit to better feedback and let us handle the rest.

Becoming a LIFTER is easier than you think — and more powerful than you expect.
